Never did I think I would be walking through Mhairi Gibbons Jewellery looking to find a jeweller that could help me become connected to my parents in a different way,

From walking through the door for my consultation Mhairi’s sincerity, empathy and understanding shon and made myself and sister very welcome. I was apprehensive about chatting my way through the journey to getting to Mhairi, but little did I know how comfortable I would feel about normalising death and creating a wonderful memorial piece that I would be able to cherish for my life but, a piece I can gift to my children and for generations after me.

The consultation was awesome! The creativity in Mhairi’s head is outstanding. I really wanted something no other had. Something bold, chunky and a little quirky. Boy was I taken a back when Mhairi drew what was in my mind.

Throughout the production of my piece. Mhairi updated us throughout each step. Even when mum and dad were in her care she let us know when they had been set. We then went for sizing (I had a ring made). Nothing was too much trouble even though a class was in full swing! Time came to collect our pieces. We had the best chat. We felt like we gained a friend who had shared such a personal journey.
With such a personal experience I was blown away at the affordability of my piece. It’s a one off. Its custom made. I had a 1-2-1 with thee jeweller who was making my piece yet the price tag was very affordable.
The compliments I receive on my ring warms my heart. It was more than I wished it ever would be. I am very proud to let people know inside this beautiful ring are my parents.
